CLEAN REINSTALL

Even our program works fine - i know many users can confirm that - sometimes things mess up. As we all know this can happen because of Windows, other software, lack of user knowledge or of course it can be a bug in Quo. Nobody is pefrect, right.

And sometimes the best way is just to perform clean reinstallation of the program. A lot of users just remove the program and install it back again, but sometimes this is not enough...
If you wish to perform correct reinstall, then follow this steps - and make sure you follow them carefully and you don't skip any of them!!! Each step is important!

BEFORE YOU DO IT:
- it's best to restart your computer so you have "clean system",
- make sure Quo v2 is closed,
- make sure you are connected to the internet (you will need internet connection for activation and for installation of your maps - if you have ordered them via download),
- make sure you are logged in as administrator or at least you have administrator rights.

----- PROGRAM CLEAN REINSTALL -----

1. Uninstall Quo v2 from your computer:
- Windows XP users: Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs,
- Windows Vista users: Control Panel > Program and Features.
Find Quo in the list and select Remove or Uninstall button.

2. Open folder C:\Program Files\ find folder Mapyx and delete it.
Note: if you installed Quo v2 on different location for example C:\Quo2\ or E:\Quo2\ etc. then delete this folder as well.

3. Download latest build of Quo v2 from this location:
http://download.mapyx.com/quo_files/v2/quo2_setup.exe

4. After download is complete run setup file and follow on screen instructions.
VERY IMPORTANT:
- on the last setup screen uncheck Launch Quo v2 (do not run program yet)

5. Go to START > Programs > Mapyx > Quo v2 and click Quo v2 Clean Start icon.

6. Quo v2 will run - close it.

7. Run Quo v2 in normal mode (by clicking icon on the desktop).

8. Go to menu Help > Activation and activate your copy of Quo v2.
Use existing email and password and make sure you leave Activation Code field empty (even if you have one you don't need it when just refreshing activation).

9. After activation is complete Quo v2 will restart. Close it.

----- MAPS AND DATA INSTALLATION -----

10. To install maps and data run Quo v2 and go to menu Help > Open Installer File...

11. Browse for your maps and data installer file xxxx.qs2 (if you have Quo DVD browse DVD, if you have downloaded the installer file, find it on your computer, or if you do not have it any more - write email to us and we will send it to you again).

12. Click Open and then Install.

13. After installation is complete Quo v2 will restart.

If you have more than one installation file, repeat steps 10 to 13 for each one!
