Quo CAN import tcx files. Aldo there is no *.tcx in the import list.
To import TCX file you have to select Garmin Training Center XML format. All imported data will be displayed on the map and also will be listed in the project tree (window Explorer, tab Project). Regards, Grega |

The trick for Garmin .tcx files is to treat them as XML in the pull down menu for Import. Quo does the conversion nicely!

I have a Garmin Edge 705 and cannot connect Quo through the USB port to import and export routes and tracks. I can import and export data from my Edge into Memory Map and Sport Traks software, so the USB driver is working ok. I get the following error massage: Error occured during import. [Error] SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces: No more data is available. I'm using Windows XP SP3

I think your device does not use standard USB communication protocol, but it creates mass storage device (removable storage drive) on your computer. Check My Computer for Garmin removable drive (Garmin disc under Removable Devices). If so you have to use Import or Export to FILE option in Quo and use GPX file format (schema version 1.1).
Hope this helps. Regards, Grega |

Grega thank you for the advice. The routes and tracks will import using the file option. The .tcx files in the Edge history folder if you select Garmin Training Centre XML as the file type.

Yes that's correct. If GPS device uses different file type than GPX select it from the list when importing / exporting.

I still cannot work out how to use Quo to IMPORT routes to my Garmin Edge 705. Getting the files into the unit can be done though using the file transfer method is not half as convenient as Garmin Training Center or bike hike. Both these programs recognise the Garmin GPS unit and import the files to the correct place (wherever that is) and enable you to use them. PLEASE could you improve the import process for Garmin Edge units? Failing that I really would like to know where to write the files and how to make them visible to the GPS unit.

Connect your device to your computer then open My Computer. Your device should be seen as "Removable Storage Device" (like USB disk) called Garmin. For example: F:\Garmin.
In Quo select a route, or multiple routes (or track, waypoint set) you would like to export. Press Export button in the main toolbar and on the next screen choose File and click Next. Export dialog will be displayed on screen, select desired File Type from the drop down list. Your GPS device should be compatible with GPX file types (usually schema version 1.1). Select location (folder) where you want to save your data, enter file name and click Save. --- Your data is now saved to a file on your computer. --- To transfer this data to your device you have two options: 1. Manualy copy the file from your computer to Garmin removable disk into folder Garmin\GPX\. 2. Or use Garmin Training Centre and import your GPX file and then use their "automated" export to device. We didn't create automated export for this device type yet, but we will as soon as we get all the neccessary info. Regards, Grega |
