Using Quo v2.1.2
Novice Quo user.
Garmin is connected via USB and recognised by Windows (/XP)
Using Export/GPS Device/GPS USB Protocol
Get error Setup DiEnumdeviceinterfaces: no more data available
Is Garmin unit 0 powered up etc etc
I can read and write from/to Garmin using Windows, but Quo doesn't want to know.
Help please!

Hello,

"...read and write from/to windows..." - do you mean Garmin software?

Do you have other applications running when trying to import/export with Quo to your device?
Are you sure your device is set to send/receive data?

Do you get the same error (Setup DiEnumdeviceinterfaces: no more data available) for import and export or just for import or just for export?

Regards,
Grega

Thanks for response.
There seems no way of setting the Garmin 705 to send/receive other than plugging it into the USB. When I have done this, Windows recognises it and displays an Explorer window for the Garmin and its microSD card. I can read and write to the Garmin (and card) by using Windows drag/drop/copy etc. and can read from the Garmin using the Garmin web based program Garmin Connect. To make sure that no programs were using the Garmin, I restarted Windows and loaded Quo. Same result on both attempting to export and import. There is also a message after "is this really a USB unit?" which says ERROR get time.. GARMIN can't init USB
Hope this helps!

Your device is using removable storage (micro sd card) not standard USB transfer protocol!
In this case you have to use import or export to file option - read or write files (i presume your device is using GPX files) from/to micro sd.

Thanks for that. I also tried inhibiting gstart (which recognises the Garmin), but that had no effect.
I have now tried importing the files direct from the Garmin and that works fine. The Garmin 705 does have microSD, but also its own memory and each is recognised by Windows as a drive. I thought all Garmins behaved that way. It might be worth making a note that some Garmins can't connect via USB protocol.

This is the same way that the Oregon and Colorado units work (USB mass-storage mode only).

How about trying the export to your 705 using the Export, Device, and set it to Oregon/Colorado USB protocol?

Martin

Export to Device somehow doesn't seem appropriate. This is for phones etc. All I want to do is to import the data from my Garmin 705. The device stores my recorded routes as tracks which are .tcx files. Quo Import from File does not list .tcx as a possibility. If I select a .tcx file, Import seems to work, yet I can't see the track on the map. I'm sure I'm missing something here.
