the maps are more detailed than the free maps provided.

the Gazetteer and County search can be used with any map that you own within Quo, it can be used to search for many different features such as citys and farms. the county search allows you to search for any county in the UK.

the 50k Digital Terrain Model is useful if you require more accurate information such as time, lenght, height,... of your trip.

Did you tried to run new installer without uninstalling previous version first? So just simply run the latest Quo v2 setup. Same problem?

Hi

been trying to upgrade. Getting the message c:\windows\installer\quo2.msi not found.

This happens on an uninstall (tried to clear down and start again).

Help!

Hi,

hm, this looks like a problem on your computer. If you can not run Microsoft installer under Microsoft windows - then it might be serious. Probably not all system is corrupted but some parts are for sure (windows installer parts or it's dependencies).

You can try and run our installer for .NET managed directx files:
http://download.mapyx.com/quo_files/support/install_mdx.exe
However it does fix the problem in all cases. But at least you can try it.

Tried that link and received the following;

DirectX Setup

A cabinet filenecessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the CryptographicServices are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid.

Looked this up on the web and got a large number of hits and an equally large number of solutions. Tried one which suggested running regsvr32 u against a number of dll's and then running regsvr32 without the u subcommand for the same dlls. The commands worked but directx installer failed again with the same error message.

Any ideas?

If not, I may try some of the other suggestions, but I can probably live without the 3D viewer.

This means that some important directx .NET files are not installed on your computer.
Try this link to download the latest directx auto-web-installer from Microsoft:
