Hi Grega
Yes I guessed I might be able to do that but decided to get a reader anyway .. I have now done the formatting and finally manged to do the copy. It has taken three goes however! My first attempt this morning gave the same symptoms, namely on the gps getting the bit when it says installing maps and then crashing. I will keep the original 8gb card carefully somewhere.

Hi,

i don't think you need a card reader. Well you can try you never know, but i think you will be able to format new card and copy the files from old card without a reader.

First put 8GB card to Endura and connect it to PC. Copy all files and folders (select all) to a folder on your computer.
Then put 32GB card to Endura and connect it back to PC. In Windows Explorer select removable disk Endura creates and right-click on it. From menu select Format. New window will appear set FAT32 as file system and click Start. After card is formatted copy all files and folders from the folder on your PC (where you put files and folders from 8GB card).

Thanks Grega, I think I had better get an sd card reader to do that. I'll let you know when I have done that. I'm not sure about the formatting but hopefully that will be clear when I use the card reader!

Before rebuilding your PC profile was fine in Quo v2?
Check menu Help > View Log File... if there are any errors listed and send them to my email grega.krasevec@mapyx.com.

Hi Camilla,

i replied to PM before i read this post (i checked PM first). So you don't need to check free space on 32GB card, because it should be fine.
What you need to check is SD card file system. It must be FAT32. I suggest that you reformat the card and make sure you use FAT32 file system. Then copy all files and folders from 8GB card to 32GB card and it should work fine.

Hi Camilla,
I guess it's a bit difficult to do what I suggested if you don't have a separate SD card reader...  sorry!

The spec of the Endura listed on the Quo site (http://www.mapyx.com/specialoffers/uk/xmas_gps.html#spec) does explicitly say that cards up to 32Gb are supported (and I presume that means up to and including... Wink)

Did you check for an error.log file?  I think that is possibly your best bet, to send it to Grega for him to look at.

Thanks for the reply and the reassurance that my procedure was more or less correct. I don't have a separate sd card reader so am working with the endura attached to the pc. That said, I can see the contents of the card. Hi Camilla,
I performed a similar operation (although only with a 16Gb card) and it worked fine - so I know it can be done..!!!  Also, I don't remember having to re-activate afterwards?

How did you do the copy of the data?  I would suggest that you do the whole operation on your PC - independent of the Sierra.  (i.e. take the SD card out of the Sierra and copy the content of the original card to your PC's hard disk and then copy that onto the new card with it connected to your PC).

Can you access the new card from your PC successfully and browse the contents?  Are you 100% sure you have copied all the files (I did it by dragging-and-dropping the entire folder at the top level)?

If you are getting a crash on the Endura, then I suspect that the first thing Grega will ask you to do is check for an 'error.log' file in the QuoMobileXT\App folder on your Endura - so you might want to look for that in advance. Smile
